Not since 2017 has a Power House team finished on top of the ladder as minor premiers but this great feat was achieved last Saturday when our Women’s team finished the regular season in top spot after a strong win over Parkside and finishing with a 14-2 record.
On Saturday, the women play in their first finals series since 2018 as they take on Glen Eira for a place in the Grand Final.
Women defeated Parkside 63 – 23
The Women’s team hosted Parkside in the final game of the home and away season in a tune up for finals football.

We jumped away late in the first quarter to take a 3 goal buffer into the first break with our defence doing a sterling job. Parkside resisted in the second quarter pulling a goal back and reducing the margin to 16 points at the main change. It was set for an interesting second half!

But Grace Read had other ideas as she took hold of the game in a brilliant third quarter where she kicked three goals and closed off any chance Parkside had of coming back. The final margin was a 40 point victory to the House to finish off the home and away season.

Best for the House were Grace Read, Emma Doorley and the consistent Anna Jones while Dani Butler (1 goal), Cat Bartholomew (1 goal) and Caoilfhionn Culliton (1 goal), were great.
Defender Anna Kennedy snuck forward to kick a goal and Bec Foley scored the other goal.
This week we host Glen Eira at HOME in the Second Semi Final, with the winner earning a spot in the Grand Final.
