Power House St Kilda Women’s Football

Power House St Kilda Women’s football team continues to grow as a competitive and driven team with a strong appetite for success. We are now welcoming committed players with a passion for the game for the 2025 season.

2024 saw our Women’s team promoted to Division 2 and once again secure their spot in finals. This made it back-to-back finals campaigns with 2023 seeing the team finish as minor premiers and making the Grand Final. We are now looking forward to being elevated yet again and playing a higher standard of football. The team’s hunger to go one step further is stronger than ever.

We pride ourselves on our determination and “never give up” attitude and whilst we will push each other to be better each time there is always a warmth and joy in the team environment!

The program

The coaches’ mission is to develop your skills, fitness and football acumen to build a team destined for success. Pre-season will include a combination of conditioning, skills and game sense designed to enable us to execute our game plan by round 1.

Our trainings will reflect the determination to improve, through consistent work and effort, that has become infectious amongst our group.

Coach Team

Leo Lahey

Leo’s AFL journey spans the NT, QLD, and ACT—starting with St Mary’s in Darwin and representing the NT nationally. He played and coached in North QLD, including leading the Queensland Police AFL team at national carnivals. In the ACT, he moved into coaching, with key roles in the South East Sports Academy AFLW, GWS Giants Women’s Academy, and ACT U15 Girls. He also assisted with AFL Canberra U22 and NSW/ACT Senior Women. A planned footy break after moving to Melbourne in late 2024 didn’t last— Power House AFC was too good to pass up!

John “Junior” Senior

John “Junior” Senior is stepping into the role of Assistant Coach for 2025 season. Junior is a familiar face to our women’s program having supported the continual growth of the women’s program for a number of years. Junior is also a great clubman at Power House, playing 226 games and was a member of the 2000 premiership team. Junior is a committed coach, always there for the team no matter what and is keen to take our Women’s program to the next level.
