It was a glorious trip out to St James Park on Saturday as both the PHAFC teams came away with the points!

In the Seniors, it was a case of a ‘River burst’ as River Carroll kicked 6 goals, he was well supported by Nick Nagel (4 goals) and Sam Confait (2 goals), Sammy even managed to take the ‘Impact Trades’ mark of the day as he straddled a Swinburne players’ shoulders in a pack contest.

Darren Baker continued his good form as did Nick Brown and Tal Sardone.

For the Reserves, it was a memorable day as we played a solid 4 quarter match for the first time in weeks! AJ McKewen was a standout performer with 5 goals, Greg ‘Swingman’ Bell switched to the forward line and starred with 3 first half goals and Dave ‘Kirk’ Cameron also kicked 2 goals.

Then there was Phil ‘Princess’ Mackney put on a monster performance and must of had Gary Ablett like stats come games end.

It was a great win as we finished the game with half a bench, to lose the lead in the last quarter and come home strong was a really pleasing performance from the boys.

Apologies to all, there are no photos available this week as Gerry Cleary was left in charge – suffice to say none were up to the high standard we keep here at PHAFC!
