It was a good weekend for the House with the club getting two wins.
After a very disappointing result the previous week the Reserves bounced back to record a big 88 point over South Melbourne. Patty Arnold continued his good year with 4 goals, Daniel Buckley kicked 2 goals as did Pat ‘Kenny Powers’ Hutchinson.
It was great to see a couple of old timers return for a kick in Joe Cunsolo and Nathan ‘The Fist’ Moresi, although Nathan was questioning his football return after struggling to kick more than 15 metres!
Even though it was a big win it was still a hard fought contest with the boys feeling very sore afterwards, Dom Fogarty ran all day and Ollie Gravelle played his best game for the club to date.
In the Seniors South Melbourne really took it up to the House and played some good football. It was a tight tussle in the first half and Coach Voyage had some strong words at half time. The boys responded to the challenge and kicked 10 goals in the second half to record a 55 point win.
The Seniors now sit 6-0 and next week take on the also undefeated UHS-VU at the Ross Gregory Oval. The UHS Reserves are also undefeated, so next week looms as a HUGE challenge for the club!
