Once again it was mixed feelings for the PHAFC boys in Round 5, The Seniors let a chance slip and the Reserves made it 4 wins in 5 games.

For the seniors Davis Burnside was best, he won many crucial centre clearances in the 2nd quarter to keep the House in the game, but unfortunately PHAFC did not make use of the wind when they had it. An 8 goal last quarter from Eley Park killed the contest. Benny Circosta and Adam Collett were brave all day, unfortunately there were too many players down on the day.

For the Reserves it was a different story with a strong team getting the 4 points! Greg ‘Ring-a-ding-ding’ Bell continued to mark everything that came his way, Patty Arnold was back to his goal kicking best and Nico Jeffrey popped up again with a few goals.

Phil Mackney was relishing his opportunity on the ball and Josh Cheney also made a welcome return to form. Things were going so well that even Scratcher was doing comedy material in his quarter time speech.

It looms as a tough week on the track and the seniors have their work cut out for them when they face ladder leaders Emmaus St Leos at home on Saturday afternoon.
