A Triple Header Triple Treat!
What a way to open Season 2023 with three wins from three games and plenty of excitement and new faces around the club last Saturday. It all happens again this weekend as all three teams play Wattle Park at HOME in another TRIPLE HEADER.

It was more of the same after the main break with Power House running out 75 point winners. Cat Bartholomew booted 4 goals for the game in a best on ground performance. Anna Jones, Steph Conlon and Grace Curran got on the scoresheet along with Alana Murray, Grace Read and Nat Stuart.
Amongst the best for the House were Alana Murray who dominated playing a kick behind play, Bec Foley and Steph Conlon through the midfield, while Georgia McHolmes and Olivia Allen were very good.

The Winning TeamMen Reserves – Defeated Swinburne 69 – 47
The Reserves took to the field against Swinburne led by Life Member and Superstar Power Forward Daniel Buckley in his 150th game.

After a very slow start we found ourselves down by 29 points at quarter time but reset and rebounded to narrow the gap to 3 points at the main break. Daniel Buckley (2 goals) lifted the side in the second half in front of goal while John Robinson (2 goals) and Chandlar Eliezer (1 goal) were lively around the contest as we ran out 22 point victors
Lachlan Henderson dominated through the ruck on debut for the club and Wilson Jones (1 goal) starred through the middle in a great game. Wily veteran Darra Conlon patrolled the back half while Jesse Murrell played well in a number of roles. Adriel Long (2 goals), Rich Ogenche (1 goal) and Isaac Taylor one goal on debut hit the scoreboard.

The Seniors finished off a perfect day for the club by overpowering Swinburne by 82 points. It was a tight early tussle but the House took over booting 6 first quarter goals to go into the first break with a 34 point lead. Swinburne settled in the second term balancing the game but the House held steady by 33 points at the main break.
After halftime, the House took over booting 9 goals to 2 and running out comfortable 82 point winners.
On debut, Mitch Newman and Max McCulloch were dominant across the wings while Michael “Sugar” Timmons starred on debut for the club, booting 5 majors. Brendan Wright (1 goal) was fearless across the ground with his hard running and competitiveness while young newcomer Brodie Tohara (from our Junior Pathway Program) played a pivotal role in the middle.
Goals came from Ben Circosta (2) Brett Scotland (2), Dave Cameron (2), Rob Dyer (2), Sean Scotland (1), Ben Taylor (1) and Matt Auchettl (1) on debut.
It was a great team effort and a great club effort to sing the song three times at the Ross Gregory on Saturday.
