Round 5 results were good for the Men’s teams as they both had stirring victories over the old foe Hawthorn.
In the Reserves Gerry Cleary continues his good form up forward with 2 goals in a tight game. The Reserves managed to fight back from a 20 point quarter time deficit in what was at times a rough game.
The Seniors managed to get their first 4 points of the year in a shoot out. Hawthorn kept coming hard all day but the House managed to hold them off. Declan Nannery was the star with 7 goals and was well supported by River Carroll who slotted 4 majors.
Both teams now go into the bye with confidence.
For the Women it was another tight game against Aquinas. The ball was streaming forward towards goal for the House when the final siren rang. The girls unfortunately went down by a goal.
Best on ground for the women was Steph Bell who left a trail of destruction in her attack on the ball.
