POWER HOUSE 7.15-57 lost to ELSTERNWICK 10.11-71

Goal Kickers: J. Whelan 2, P. Edwards 2, G. Norris , L. Nevett , M. Spiliotalopoulos
Best Players: T. Saraw, D. Baker, M. Chylinski, L. Nevett, G. Norris, B. Leske

A close game again just slipped out of our reach when we went down to local rivals Elsternwick by 14 points. The first 3 quarters were played like the Power House of old when our hard physical approach frustrated and closed down the opposition. Poor kicking in the second quarter (when we kicked 3 goals 8 points) ultimately proved costly. Our lack of discipline and loss of shape in the last quarter was disappointing as we were again held goaless in the final stanza. All in all a disappointing result in what was a very winnable game. Saraw and Lachie Nevett were our best while Jake Whelan booted 2 goals in his return game to the club.
