PRE SEASON TRAINING 2010 - Commences 1st February
The time has finally arrived for the serious hard work of pre-season to commence and it is a crucial period that creates the template and foundation for our success for the new season.
Footballers in general have enjoyed the extended break to relax, rest aching bodies, mentally refresh and hopefully now prepare for the many challenges that lie ahead.
Time to dust off the boots, pack the training gear and be ready to sweat in pursuit of glory with your team mates, both past and new.
It is important to note that OFFICIAL PRE-SEASON TRAINING has been revised to commence on Monday 1st FEBRUARY 2010 commencing at 6.00 p.m. sharp at our home ground the Ross Gregory Oval, Village Green Drive, Albert Park.
Players have been conducting non official training/running sessions at the club and please contact Adam Collett if you would like to participate
The initial sessions of pre-season training in particular will be critical for all players.
These are absolutely mandatory to attend to assist players in adapting to the future training workloads and expectations.
We want to ensure that we safely manage the progressive physical and mental demands made of the playing group.
The clear focus of our pre-season training will be to create an environment where we strive to achieve our peak fitness levels,
provide innovative training strategies with a "game play" emphasis and ultimately, a winning culture.
There will be exposure to a variety of specialist training staff with lots of cross training activities, different training venues
such as MSAC and the nearby beach, and many fresh and innovative challenges to present both enjoyment and stimulus to the players.
For those players who were part of the recent premiership success in 2006, Power House took pride
in being the fittest and strongest club in our division.
We will again strive to restore that same ruthless, uncompromising standard again whilst developing our skills
and our "on field" playing strategies and execution.
We have made a commitment to the playing group to provide a well structured, professional training program
to enable players to improve and develop and have plenty of fun on the journey!
Our club has a rich history, and whilst the previous season was disappointing,
we believe that we have addressed many of the issues that we were deficient in.
We look forward to seeing the familiar faces of our current playing group, warmly welcome new players and members to the club
for our first training session detailed as follows:
