It’s amazing how time flies. It’s now
December and the year is almost complete!
As we wind down and count down to 2010, the
Power House Football Club committee has been working diligently behind the
scenes to ensure we have the best possible Senior Coaching Panel appointed for the
2010 season.
These appointments are some of the most
important decisions in the clubs recent history.
As some of you may be aware, we have
undertaken a detailed, exhaustive and thorough review of the whole football department.
As a result of this review, we have been
completing an extensive and systematic process to identify a coach who will be
charged with driving the Power House Football Club to success in 2010 and
beyond.
As part of this detailed process, we have been
conducting numerous lengthy, challenging and detailed interviews with some
qualified, experienced and high profile candidates.
We are aware that many players are anxious
to know who will be taking our club forward in 2010 and beyond however we will
remain true to our diligent and thorough process and ensure we have “ticked all
the boxes” before making our appointment and announcement.
Please be patient as we finalise our
decision. We expect to be in a position to announce the successful remaining
candidate shortly.
We have this week confirmed the appointment of a high profile, highly credentialed
playing Senior Assistant Coach who will join the club in 2010. This
announcement will be made at the Xmas Get Together on Wednesday 16 December
2009 at the Clubrooms.
Rest assured, in my 30+ years involvement in
virtually all aspects of the Power House Football Club as a player, committee
member and supporter, I have always held the best interests of the club and the
players foremost in mind when making key decisions.
The appointment of the next Senior Coach is
no different.
On a personal note, I look forward seeing all
players, committee members, past players, staff and supporters at the Xmas Get Together at the Clubrooms on
Wednesday 16 December 2009.
For those of you I haven’t met yet, I’ll be
buying the first drink!
