1959 Seniors Premiership Team – The Invincibles
The Invincibles won the first ever Power House Premiership in 1959. Coached by John Layton and Captained by John McClure, the Invincibles went through the complete season and the finals campaign undefeated. They won the Grand Final defeating University High School Old Boys, 13.10 to 12.9.
1970 Juniors (U19’s) Premiership Team
The Power House Football club won it’s one and only Junior Premiership in 1970 when the Under 19 Team defeated Caulfield Grammarians by 14 points winning 21.18 to 20.10.
The team was Coached by Gary Boyd and Captained by Paul Hughan (who went on to play in the 1971 Seniors Grand Final winning team with 5 other members of this team).
This team spawned 5 Senior Premiership Players and also featured 300 games player Mark Mason and 1983 Senior Captain-Coach Rob Newton.

1971 Seniors Premiership Team – Les’ Legends
Power House won its second flag led by Captain/Coach Les Gordon. They won the Grand Final defeating Reservoir Old Boys, 17.10 to 14.13. Multiple Best and Fairest winner Peter Hutchinson and 1971 Best and Fairest Bob Christie were the standouts of the season.
1973 Seniors Premiership Team – The Walkover
Power House’s 3rd Premiership was won in 1973 in C grade in controversial circumstances. Power House was awarded the premiership before the game on the direction of the VAFA due to the opposition, Fairfield, having played an ineligible player during the year. Coach was Phil Mullen and Captain was Ric Sykes. Best and Fairest Paul Shewan was dominant throughout the season.
1975 Club 18 Premiership Team
In 1975, the strong Power House Club 18 team finished 2nd on the ladder (behind Ivanhoe) winning 14/18 games for the season. The side was Captain Coached by Stephen Mason.
After defeating a fast finishing tough Ivanhoe by 5 points in the Second Semi Final, the teams faced off again in the Grand Final. This time the Power House team were way too strong winning a tough game by 40 points.
Best players on the day were Rohan Booth in the centre, Trevor Telford at centre half back, small forwards Paul Yuille and Mark Mason, full forward Noel Gilbert and wingers Colin Walker & Jeff Pullen.
Goal kickers on the day were: Noel Gilbert 4, Paul Yuille 4, Mark Mason 3, Neil Jacobs 2, Dave Roberts 2.
The final score PHFC 15.10. 100 d Ivanhoe 9.6. 60.
1978 Reserves Premiership Team
The 1978 Season was a great year for the Power House Football Club. The Seniors finished on top of the ladder but lost both finals. The Reserves finished in third place and won all three finals including a great victory on Grand Final day. Coach Harold Rosewarne (who went on to become Senior Coach in 1982) produced a committed side and his well-drilled troops managed to bring home the Flag. Captain Daryl Clark was inspirational all year and the side was balanced with some hard tough footballers like Bobby Peters, Rob Sarosi and Tony Fitzsimmons and the silky skills of Ollie Wilson, Bruce Ramsay, Paul Shewan and Jamie Harris.
2000 Seniors Premiership Team – The Drought Breakers
Led by Coach Kevin Barnes and inspirational Captain, Best and Fairest and Leading Goal kicker Stuart Craven, Power House won the 2000 Premiership defeating Williamstown CYMS ending a 27 year drought. Darren Searle kicked 100 goals for the season while Andrew Robinson was awarded the V.B. Zanin Medal for Best on Ground in the Grand Final.
2006 Premiership Teams – The Double
Led triumphantly by returning Senior Coach Robert Sarosi and Power Forward, Best and Fairest and Century Goal kicker Paul Edwards, we defeated Hawthorn AFC by 56 Points in the Grand Final. Captain Darren Cooper led the side brilliantly and was awarded the A.K. White Medal as best Player in the Grand Final. The Reserves coached by Reece Humphreys, also won the Grand Final defeating Eltham Old Collegians to ensure Power House captured the double for the first time in the clubs history.
